There are many important women in our history, and Dolores Huerta is one of them. She thought people needed to be taught respectfully and nicely when she was young. Dolores won an award because she said no to racism. She thought that the farm workers should stop working in the fields because they worked hard but they got paid just a little bit of money. In her  later life she met Cesar Chavez. They worked together and made a union called United Farm Worker Association. Dolores Huerta was an important woman in our history.

In her early life she thought people needed to be taught respectfully and nicely. A lot of people worked very hard  for their job but they got paid a little bit of money. Dolores’ students were getting  hurt because they came to school with no shoes. A horrible thing was that the farm workers couldn’t  leave work when they needed to go to a doctor. Also they couldn’t go to the restroom even though it was an emergency. They also didn’t get to drink clean water and they had to drink nasty water.  Then the United States government changed the law to take care of the farm workers.  Dolores Huerta had a difficult childhood.  Fernandez Huerta was better known as Dolores Huerta. She was born in Donson, New Mexico. She was born on April 10, 1930. Dolores Huerta’s reward is that she said no to racism and now farm workers work under better conditions. Dolores stood up for the farm worker rights.

Later in life was she met Cesar Chavez. They worked together and  made a union called United Farm Worker Association. Dolores went to the hospital because she was beaten up by the San Francisco Police who broke 6 of her ribs. Dolores stood up and spoke that people deserved to be taught respectfully and nicely. Dolores Huerta spoke to the owners of the farm workers to treat them farmer workers nicely.

Dolores Huerta will be remembered because she told farm owners to stop, and pay farm workers more, and treat them with kindness and respect. . Dolores Huerta is still working to support human rights.
